Glass smoke barrier is a fixed fire protection partition installed under ceilings or beams to block smoke spread during fires, widely used in shopping malls, offices and public buildings.
Its main raw materials include 6mm/8mm monolithic fire-resistant glass, wire mesh glass and 5+5 laminated fire glass, matched with aluminum alloy upper/lower rails, hanging brackets and square tubes for installation. Only 6mm type has complete test reports; 8mm glass can adopt the same certification due to higher performance.
Different from flexible silicone cloth smoke barriers, glass versions feature high transparency without obstructing daylight. It belongs to rigid fire separation components, helping divide independent smoke compartments to win evacuation time.
This product is only for indoor use. Steel or fireproof aluminum frames are required for installation. It cannot replace full firewalls, only serving as smoke isolation auxiliary facilities. Custom sizes are available on demand, with no unified national standard thickness limits.
